The Semester Is Almost Over

Having changed to winter, our class is almost arrived at the end of semester. Upon our class goes, I learned a little of this, a little of that including how to study English abroad.
Not only do I realized learning English required much efforts of learner but also I could be a person who can speak English even though not enough.
Studying English with my teachers would be great memories in my entire life. That would be the last time that I have chance to study English with how wonderful teacher is with me

A Guest Speaker in Our Class

We had a really great time with a guest speaker who has three children studying by home schooling. I was surprised by which in their house was the place where they study together. I’ve heard about home schooling providing some specials that are not provided from traditional school. A guest speaker said that home schooling will be the way of next generation education. I also fully agree what she said.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven

I’ve been reading the novel--The Five People You Meet In Heaven--for homework. That novel is proven to be easier than first anticipated. Reading the novel, I’ve been fascinated by its distinguishing features with the author’s thought. I read a novel is written by the same author before coming here. I like to read something is about people’s life such as an autobiography. When I met this novel, I thought it is quite related to what I love. Also as long as I read this novel, I feel like to be likely Eddie.

Happers Ferry

Our class went to the Harpers Ferry along with students and teachers of MEI. The Harpers Ferry is located in West Virginia along the river. It takes about one and half hours to get there. After arriving, I explored around the village with classmates. There was a village where the old-fashioned building stood once, that is built in about 1800. While I went after my group, I could see old-buildings and some stuffs which is definitely different from things using in modern. I thought the stuff and tools is displayed in there had led to current American culture. Anyway I’d have a very long and exciting trip. Not to shabby for me.

How you spent the weekend of Oct.7-8

I am not doing anything on weekends. But in this weekend, I went to the my uncle’s house to do something makes eventually me tired. But it’s not bad time to do that. I always glad to be with someone love me. My uncle can certainly be someone loves me and encourages me to do whatever I want.
While I’d been having dinner, I talked to my aunts what is really needed to live alone. The following day, I went to the Costco to buy everything I needed. Returning to the house, I thought I had to buy more

My speaking partner

My speaking partner is so kind about teaching to me whatever it is. I am always meeting at Stamp union on Thursday. We always talk about American culture, how to learn English and something like that. Also we spend much time playing game that is sometimes boring. But It gives to me a little of this, a little of that, that is, it is sometimes exciting.
My speaking partner’s major is chemical engineering, so he used to talk about his major that is new things to me. He is always proud of his major. Like him, I also would like to study something after finishing English. Nowadays I realized that how painful it is not to speak English.

FIRST LOOK FAIR

I found 5 clubs. Almong of them, I'd like to join in Student of Cooking.
The club meet every thursday, and There are about 80 persons who come from different place in this club. So I can have different kind of foods and meet them. I am sure not good at cooking, but I want to learn how to cook

LUNCH

I had a lunch in the food coop with my classmates and Nina. When I entered into food coop, there were already lots of person who were waiting for. Then I choose one sandwich and orange juice. But I couldn’t see other people came with me, because they left here to find meat and different food. 5 minutes later, we could meet again in front of the enterance. After that, we had a lunch, and went back to the classroom.

Impressions of MEI

I have attending at classes of MEI 1 week. It is so good for me to be here and my impression of MEI is so cool. When I usually think of attending a new place, I think it may be hard. But MEI is not. I have a great chance to make friends who come from different places.
